Everyone is growing up and their lives are shifting, but the writers (certainly earning their well- deserved paychecks) have done it so seamlessly that it doesn't feel forced. Sheldon moved in with Amy as an experiment, which was pretty much the only way Sheldon was ever going to give up his spot on the couch on a permanent basis. In the process, he learned to accept—and even enjoy—living with Amy in a new place.

Considering that Shamy first had coitus over a year ago, seeing them move in together was both monumental and most importantly, natural. Penny and Leonard have discovered that they have more marital issues to work through than they bargained for.

Now with Raj in the mix, things will likely come to a head. And while we've seen Bernadette experience some very real difficulties with motherhood, the writers have found a way to make baby Halley a part of the show without turning it into Three Men (Howard, Raj, and Stuart) and a Baby. At a time when watching television can feel like a chore, The Big Bang Theory continues to defy expectations. You don't need a scientist to figure that out. The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays on CBS.
